Wizkid stirs controversy in congratulatory post to Davido

Nigerian singer Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has sparked outrage with a recent cryptic remark thought to be against fellow musician Davido’s wedding to Chioma Rowland.

David Adeleke, commonly known as Davido, used his verified social media accounts to showcase lovely pre-wedding photos with his fiancée Chef-chi which is slated to be held on Tuesday, 25 June 2024.

While on Monday morning, Wizkid resorted to his X (previously Twitter) account to post what looked to be prayers for his colleague’s wedding.

“Saying a prayer for every understanding woman on earth! Your king loves you.” Wizkid wrote.

This message provoked mixed reactions, with some fans claiming that the star-boy was shading Davido’s soon-to-be bride, Chioma, who has remained loyal to OBO despite problems surrounding his ‘Baby Mamas’ and adultery charges.

Meanwhile, Sophia Momodu; Davido’s first ‘Baby Mama,’ has revealed amidst court saga with him for child custody that she and the musician resumed their relationship between 2020 and 2022, while he was still dating Chioma. And since they ended their relationship Davido had refused to contact their child or provide emotional and financial support to her because she refused him access to her body.
