Tems wins her fourth BET Award

Nigerian Celebrity Tems has received her fourth BET Award on Monday night at the Peacock Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles.

With her 2023 song, Me & U, the Grammy winner defeated famous performers Kirk Franklin, CeCe Winans, Maverick City Music, and others to win the Dr. Bobby Jones Best Gospel/Inspirational Award at the 2024 presentation.

BET Awards is an American awards programme that honours and honours the accomplishments of Black celebrities and other marginalised groups in the fields of music, movies, sports, and philanthropy. Black Entertainment Television launched the BET Awards in 2001.

Tems received the Best International Act and Best Collaboration BET awards in 2022 for her work on Wizkid’s “Essence.”

In 2023, she also took home the Best Collaboration prize for her song “Wait for U,” which she wrote alongside Drake and Future. In 2022, the song was also awarded the same prize at the BET Hip Hop Awards.
