Rema collaborates with Shallipopi on new single ‘Benin Boys’

Nigerian singers Rema and Shallipopi have released a new single titled Benin Boys. Rema shared this on his ‘X’ page around midnight.

Rema, who recently attended Paris Fashion Week, collaborated with fellow Benin indigene Shallipopi in a seeming tribute to their homeland.

The song connects the duo to Benin City and their desire to emphasise its importance. Rema and Shallipopi’s collaboration embraces their roots while also setting a high standard for future Afrobeat releases.

The uptempo song, created by Producer X, features Rema’s distinctive flows and Shallipopi’s pidgin rhymes.
Rema and Shallipopi’s music and artwork have always reflected their Benin origin.
