Oxlade’s ‘Kulosa’ gets diamond certification in France

Oxlade’s ‘Kulosa’ has become the latest Afrobeats song to be declared platinum in France.
This is another land-mark feat for the artiste and the Nigerian music industry as the the hit-maker’s song was declared diamond by French music certification body SNEP after exceeding over 50,000,000 streams in France.
Tik Tok has propelled some Afrobeats songs to international success including Oxlade’s Colors Studios performance ‘Kulosa’ where users massively recreated parts of the music video and advanced the song to global success.
The single was released in June 2022 and distributed by Epic Records. France elevated Oxlade to international success, especially in France where the song peaked to NO. 18 on the SNEP chart and finished at 141 at the end of the year chart.
The music video which evolved into a social media challenge has passed over 80 million views on YouTube.
In the same vein, the song which has surpassed over 287 million streams on Spotify now sits alongside Burna Boy’s ‘Last Last’, Ayra Starr’s ‘Rush’, and Rema’s ‘Calm Down’ as the Afrobeats songs to be certified diamond in France.
