Reality star Tasha reveals cost of her dress to AMVCA award
Anita Natasha Akide popularly known as Tacha, a BBNaija star has disclosed that the stunning gown she wore at the 10th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) cost more than #100 million.
She made this revelation during an interview with well-known content creator Timi Agbaje on the red carpet at the event on May 11, 2024.
Agbaje asked, “Last year you wore a $20,000 outfit to the AMVCA. How much did this outfit cost?”
Tacha answered, “It’s 100k”
“Naira or dollars?” Agbaje inquired again after which Tacha chuckled and said, “It’s $100,000 or nothing.”
Tacha looked stunning in a long white gown with a huge, eye-catching statement piece at the highly respected event. The outfit had a flowing cape, a matching corset purse, and a floating bust/corset design on her shoulder.
Nigerians on social media have responded to the reality TV star’s declaration in numerous ways, shocked by the expensive price.
“I’m curious, who pays for celebrities’ dresses at events like these? Do the celebrities buy the dresses themselves, do designers lend them the dresses, or is there some kind of arrangement where they share the cost?” An inquisitive X user posed the questions.
Some X users reacted in shock, asking questions like, “Which kain lamba be that?? Cloth that can’t pass 200k,” remarked one person while another asked, “You paid $100k for a dress?”
While someone else commented, “She wan come spoil the compliments and the beautiful dress with lies now.”
