Simi talks about her New single release with Tiwa Savage “Men are crazy”
Nigerian’s biggest female performers, Simi and Tiwa Savage have finally released the much-anticipated song collaboration “Men are crazy.”
During an interview, Simi talked about the controversy surrounding the name of her project with Tiwa Savage.
After receiving backlash from certain male online commentators, Simi declared that she had no plans to elaborate on the meaning behind the title, “Men Are Crazy.” The Grammy-winning singer said she plans to wait until the song drops for the song to properly explain the title.
“I honestly wasn’t going to go on an explaining spree at the time. I was like when the song comes out they will see what I’m trying to say,” Simi shared.
She also said that the anticipation generated by the title’s online response helped with the track’s release.
Simi also revealed that she intended to just leave the line as “Men Are Crazy,” but Tiwa Savage softened the theme of the song by adding, “Men are crazy, but I still want one in my bed.”
This is a significant milestone for female collaborations in Afrobeats as it’s the first time Tiwa Savage and Simi will be working together on a song.
Both “Men Are Crazy” and “All I Want” which were recently released are lead singles from her upcoming album which is anticipated to be released later in the year.
