Skepta features Portable on new Afrobeats hit ‘Tony Montana’
British-Nigerian superstar Skepta has featured Nigerian hit-maker, Portable, on his recent Afrobeats record ‘Tony Montana’ as he prepares to release his new album.
The single is produced by award-winning Jae5 who sees Skepta explore Afrobeats as he excitingly evokes his Nigerian heritage.
Prior to this moment, Portable released the ‘Tony Montana of London’ EP which came after his highly publicised visit to the United Kingdom where he met and worked with Skepta.
The single has generated excitement on social media where fans were impressed by Portable’s delivery of a coherent and musical chorus which is a gulf different from his usual street music.
‘Tony Montana’ is one of the singles ahead of the release of Skepta’s recent album ‘Knife & Fork’, his sixth, which is expected to be out later in 2024.
